Say No to a Wage Freeze
Last year the Fair Work Commission made the unfair decision to delay the wage increase for essential retail and fast food workers.
This must not happen again. Sign our petition now.
The SDA and the Australian Council of Trade Unions are on your side at the Fair Work Commission.
Yesterday SDA member and fast food worker Jeremy stood with other unionists outside the Fair Work Commission in Melbourne to demand an immediate pay increase.
Workers like Jeremy need a wage increase to keep up with everyday expenses – including the petrol he uses to get to work.
We are arguing for a fair and decent pay rise for essential workers on 1 July.
Essential workers deserve a pay rise to keep up with the rising cost of living. A wage increase for Australian workers is good for the economy too as it means more spending in local businesses.
The Annual Wage Review decision is expected to be handed down in the coming weeks.
While unions are pushing for wages to lift – employer groups are calling for a wage freeze.
That’s why we need your support - say no to a wage freeze – share our video now.
We will continue to keep you updated about the Annual Wage Review.
