Roster issue fixed for Simone

When Simone, an employee of a national discount department store, was rostered on for an early morning shift she wasn’t able to work, she went to her Union delegate.

Simone had been rostered to start at 6am, however as the permanent part time employee had no accessible transport to work at this time in the morning, the shift was outside her availability.

The Union delegate was told the change was due to new rostering systems, and that these were the only hours available to Simone.

The SDA got involved, and Simone’s original roster was reinstated.
